Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.
Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters participated in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
